Sorry guys. It seems some systems have trouble with the animations. The only thing that changed this update was that I updated the version of Renpy to the newest one. The animations are WebM vp9 (vp8 for android), like any other game. If the next Renpy update doesn't fix it, I may have to release a compressed version with 30 fps videos for the people having problems.

Important information for everyone that is playing My New Family on mobile and has updated to Android 11: With Android 11 the persistent save file method doesn't work anymore. This means that now you have to manually backup and copy your savegames over. Your old savegames are still there, however, and here is what you have to do to access them. First, download a file manager app. A good one is =com.speedsoftware.explorer . It will let you browse all the folders on your phone. Now, to access your old savegames, navigate to Android/Data/Renpy/MyNewFamily-somenumbers. Inside this folder are your savegames. Mark all the savegames you want to copy over. Now, navigate to Android/Data/my.n.family/files/saves. This is the folder where you have to paste all the savegames you just copied. You probably have to create this folder yourself if you didn't try to start the game yet. That's it, now your savegames should work under Android 11 as well! Just make sure to back them up each time before you install a new version. To do this, simply move the savefiles from Android/Data/my.n.family/files/saves to a different folder, delete the app, install the new version and paste them back in.

It's the same for me. I just downloaded 0.14 and started it. I'm still watching the intro (I'm at the point where he's about to get on the train) and I got really confused because (like I do with every game I download) I read the description and it said that he moves in with his mother and her daughters, but the in game intro is calling them Landlady and tenants. It also has household instead of family which at first I thought it was on purpose but then I got to the spot where the MC sits down and watches Family Guy and I realized that it was a mistake. I originally thought that it was some kind of glitch caused by the fact that I downloaded the PC version instead of the Android version. I don't know why but I prefer to run the games through JoiPlay rather than just installing them as their own app.
